The County Galway hunt kennels are at Ballymore House, Craughwell, in the centre of the Galway hunting country.Up to sixty couple of hounds have been kept here since 1895.

The Hunt has a long tradition of Hunting in a large geographical area of County Galway.The hunt dates from the beginning of the 19th century and has established itself as one of the famous Irish Hunts due to the goodwill and generosity of farmers and landowners throughout the county.

Support Team

During every hunting day, the Support Team of Peter Haden, Tom Joyce, Sean Feeney and Mickey Shaughnessy are there to assist the Masters, and hunt staff in providing a good day's sport. Their busy day's work includes unboxing of hounds, meeting farmers, minding stock, helping identify where foxes may be, closing gates, building walls that have been knocked by hounds and horses, and repairing any broken wire.The aim of the Support Team is to satisfactorily complete all repair work within one hour of the end of the day's hunting.
